The Chase viewers were left questioning whether they were “watching the same show” as Bradley Walsh as they slammed the ITV host for his reaction to a contestant’s performance. Bradley praised 19-year-old Ben after successfully making it through to the final but fans of the quiz show didn’t agree with the host’s treatment of the student compared to the other three contestants.
Neil, 50, Ben, 19, Gemma, 31 and Cat, 46 were introduced by Bradley as today’s contestants alongside Chaser Anne Hegerty.
The first contestant impressed Bradley with his performance after earning £7,000 in his cash builder round.
However, after being spurred on by teammate Gemma, Neil was caught by the Chaser after opting for his higher offer of £25,000.
Ben was next to face Anne after answering four questions in his cash builder round.

Bradley congratulated the student before reminding the contestants and Anne that Ben was the youngest player on the team.
Ben was almost caught in his head-to-head on a few occasions as the Chaser remained one behind the contestant for several questions.
However, the student eventually made it through to the final and was praised by Bradley.
“Brilliant,” the ITV host remarked. “Very good for a 19-year-old.”
But, The Chase viewers took to Twitter to slam Bradley’s observations.
One said: “#TheChase sometimes I wonder if I’m watching the same show as Brad???”
“‘Very good for a 19-year-old’ I’m trying not to swear so much but Bradley, you can f**k right off being so patronising! #TheChase,” another shared.
“How patronising is Bradley to young players? Does my head in #TheChase,” a third wrote.

“I wouldn’t say brilliant Brad #TheChase,” a fourth fan disagreed.
Someone else questioned: “Is Brad watching the same as me???? #TheChase.”
A sixth said: “Brad: ‘That was absolutely brilliant.’ It wasn’t really now, was it. He was helped by Brad then got some #tippingpoint questions #thechase.”
Ben went on to prove Bradley right by being the only contestant on today’s team to make it through to the final.
The student answered 11 questions correctly in the final chase but was comfortably beaten by Anne.
Praising his performance, Bradley said: “You made it on your own, you were playing against the third-best female player on the planet.
“You are seriously good and should be proud of yourself. You will get to the Euros I hope to see you there.”
“You did very well, really good try but I’m best,” Anne quipped.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
