Britain's Got Talent fans convinced they’ve ‘worked out’ Phantom is former show star back for a THIRD attempt at winning

BRITAIN'S Got Talent fans are convinced they’ve "worked out" Phantom is a former show star who is back for a THIRD attempt at winning.

The much-loved ITV talent show returned to our screens over the weekend for the highly anticipated 15th series.

Viewers were left "terrified" after a ghost act Phantom invited judge Amanda Holden onto the stage for a scary performance.

Others racked their brains to try and figure out who the the unseen act is.

Many took to Twitter to discuss – and think it could be 49-year-old Marc Spelmann.

One wrote: "Watched #BGT #BritainsGotTalent from last night – does anyone else think that #ThePhantom could be Marc Spellman again??"

A fourth questioned: Is the phantom Marc Spelman?? #BritainsGotTalent"

Marc Spelmann is a magician who he has appeared on the show once as himself in 2018, and again as Magician X the following year.

The illusionist ended up in the semi-finals during the 12th series of the show four years ago.

He was Ant and Dec's Golden Buzzer pick.

The series was won by stand-up comedian Lost Voice Guy.

Then in 2019 he appeared on the show again as X.

The illusionist's identity was a closely-guarded secret with him not even performing his full act during rehearsals to avoid anyone discovering who he was.

Marc, who placed second in the competition, was beaten to the top spot by 89-year-old singer Colin Thackery.
