Carol Vorderman shares first look at her jungle gear as she returns to I’m A Celeb

Carol Vorderman has shared a sneak peak at her new I'm A Celebrity outfit for the upcoming all-stars special series of the hit ITV show.

The 62-year-old is one of nine former campmates already confirmed to be taking part in the show, which is set to air later this month – with the former Countdown presenter showing off her new look heading into the South African jungle.

Carol shared her new look for the jungle, as well as a throwback photo from when she first took part in the show back in 2016.

In the new outfit, Carol is wearing the usual I'm A Celebrity khaki jacket, but with a red shirt and dark trousers, compared to the navy top and red trousers she wore the first time round.

The post was joint-made with I'm A Celebrity's official Instagram account, with the caption saying: "Carol’s scariest Trial was walking the plank… what’s the chances of there being something similar in South Africa?"

Fans flocked to the comment section to share their excitement for the upcoming show, with one person writing: "Desperate to know when this will air!! So excited!"

Another wrote: "Carol [heart emoji] best of luck!!!", while a third person said: "Gorgeous woman".

Carol revealed she would be taking part on the show in a special appearance on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway last weekend, before quickly following up with a post on Instagram.

She wrote: "If you saw @itvtakeaway then you'll know I'm on @imacelebrity South Africa… OMG I hope you like the series. I'm A Celebrity…South Africa will start at the end of April on ITV1 and ITVX. You'll have a laugh anyway."

The pre-recorded special series is believed to begin on Monday, April 24, and will have episodes aired every weekday for three weeks. However, a start date is yet to be confirmed by ITV, so it is still subject to change.

The show will be fronted by the usual presenters, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, as they take the former campmates on a new adventure in South Africa.

Nine stars will be kicking off the show, including Carol, but more celebrities are set to appear in camp throughout the show.

So far it's confirmed that Carol will be joined by Amir Khan, Jordan Banjo, Helen Flanagan, Fatima Whitbread, Paul Burrell, Phil Tufnell, Janice Dickinson, and Shaun Ryder.

Meanwhile, other celebrities such as Joe Swash, Gillian McKeith, and Myleene Klass are some of the other former campmates believed to be taking part in the show.
