Coronation Street fans were left scratching their heads as they noticed a mistake during tonight's episode.
At the start of the programme, Dev Alahan was emotional about his twins, Asha and Aadi, celebrating their 16th birthday.
He was arranging plans with his teenage son and daughter as he mentioned it was their birthday tomorrow during the scene.
However, fans were perplexed as the characters were born in the soap in 2006, so they should be turning 15.
One viewer tweeted: "Asha and Aadi were born in 2006. That makes them 15. Not 16…"
While another wrote: "My sister was 16 yesterday and she was born in 2005, how can the twins be 16 tomorrow when they were born 2006?"
"Has Dev forgotten how old his children are? According to all reference sites the twins were born on 13th January 2006, which makes them 15, not 16", penned a third.
A fourth fan watching the soap questioned: "How can the twins be 16 if they’re born in 2006?"
While a fifth said: "I know we are supposed to accept little faults in soaps due to Covid. But a character completely forgetting when they were born is a bit far. Dev's twins were born in 2006?"
Asha and her twin Aadi were born to Sunita (Shobna Gulati) and Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) in January 2006.
