EastEnders young mum Lola Pearce tragically died as her daughter Lexi lay beside her asleep during Wednesday night's episode.
Lola passed away after a battle with an incurable brain tumour over the last few months that has seen her condition slowly worsen.
Throughout her illness her now husband Jay Brown has been by her side supporting her and he is now left heartbroken at the thought of living without her.
Although he hardly left Lola's side during her final hours, when he did go to the toilet, Lola took her last breath leaving Jay in tears when he returned to see his wife had died.
Now fresh images show heartbroken Jay arriving at his wife's funeral driving a scooter dressed in his light grey suit with a pink tie.
Jay is set to be one of the men that will carry Lola into the church for her funeral that will take place in the coming weeks.
Lola is going to have a white coffin that has gold handles and her name on one side, with her children's pictures placed on the other.
Jay is one of six that will carry Lola on her final journey. He will be at the front with Phil Mitchell behind him and Callum Highway at the back.
On the opposite side will be Lexi's dad Ben, Lola's pops Billy Mitchell and Rocky Cotton at the back.
Most funeral attendees will not be wearing the traditional black, with several castmembers being pictured in lighter coloured ensembles.
After Lola's heartbreaking death, many of the soap's actors took to social media to pay tribute to the character, and the brilliant job Danielle Harold did playing her.
Natalie Cassidy, who plays Sonia Fowler, tweeted: "And there we have it. Soap history has just been made. Incredible.
"I’m so proud of everyone involved. @DHaroldOfficial You smashed it girl. Bye bye gorgeous #Lola."
While over on Instagram Jamie Borthwick, 28, who plays Jay Brown paid tribute to his on screen wife saying: "Tonight we said goodbye to Lola and what a journey myself and @danielle_harold have been on!
"Working together for all these years has been the best! She really is a special one!
"Danielle has worked so incredibly hard delivering Lola’s cancer storyline and deserves all her praise as does the whole cast and team for their efforts! Gonna miss ya at work kid love ya."
