Former Corrie star Lucy Fallon slams fan who accused her of fleeing Tier 4 – after mistaking Blackpool for Dubai

FORMER Corrie star Lucy Fallon has slammed a fan who accused her of fleeing Tier 4 – after mistaking Blackpool for Dubai.

The 25-year-old actress decided to mock the many reality stars who spent New Year in the UAE city, sharing a picture of Fleetwood beach in Lancashire and joking beside it: "Happy New Year from Dubai".

She also shared a snap of the beach and joked: "Can't believe I'm in Dubai for 2021 x".

Despite being wrapped up in a teddy bear coat and scarf in other clips, the joke went over some people's heads, with many believing she had actually escaped Tier 4 in Lancashire.

One follower messaged her saying: "Good to see ya living life on holiday where people at home can't pay bills good for u."

Lucy shared a shot of the comment and wrote: "Honestly pls someone help me", as well as pictures of Blackpool and Dubai saying: "This is not the same as this."

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Lucy later clarified: "Just in case ppl didn't realise, I'm not actually in Dubai. Turns out Fleetwood really does look like Dubai after all."

Despite much of the UK being in Tier 4 – which restricts any travel outside of a person's local area except for work and education – a number of reality stars have jetted to Dubai in recent weeks.

Government guidelines for international travel currently state: "Following identification of a new variant of the virus, international travel from your area may be increasingly restricted because of domestic regulations.

"Different rules apply in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. For example, those in tier 4 areas in England will not be permitted to travel abroad apart from limited exceptions, such as work purposes.

"Follow all the rules that apply to you."

Reality stars currently in Dubai include Towie couple Yazmin Oukhellou and James Lock, Geordie Shore's Chloe Ferry and Love Islanders Georgia Steele, Kaz Crossley and Amber Gill.
