Strictly Come Dancing semi-finalist and EastEnders star Rose appeared on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show It Takes Two on Thursday alongside Giovanni. Host of the BBC chat show, Janette Manrara, discussed how this week’s training had been for the pair and showed a clip taken of the two joking around about Giovanni being sweaty. As they watched back the clip in training, Rose can be seen moaning about Giovanni’s sweatiness, prompting the Italian dancer to sarcastically snap at his partner.

The couple have been preparing to dance the Argentine tango ahead of Saturday’s show, but Janette picked up on the fact Rose hadn’t been too pleased about one element of the routine.

She explained: “When you were talking about the Argentina tango and Giovanni mentioned how close you were actually going to be, you were not very excited about it, Rose?”

“No,” the Frankie Lewis star laughed.

Janette continued: “And I think it only carried on even more in rehearsals throughout the week, because look at this…”

A video showed the two dancing very close as Giovanni pulled away, commenting: “Good, better.”

Rose looked over at the camera and grimaced as she remarked: “Sweaty,” and wiped her hand.

The dancer spotted Rose’s remarks and quickly shouted across the room: “Stop doing the sweaty!”

“You’re just very sweaty,” the 27-year-old replied.

“People will pay to have this sweat,” Giovanni continued to yell – rather tongue in cheek-  as he stepped closer to the actress.

He continued: “People will pay to be that close with me!”

The two embraced each other before laughing.

Back in the It Takes Two studio, the pair saw the funny side of the outburst as Janette exclaimed: “People would pay and they’re lining up outside for that kind of sweat, Giovanni!”

Rose jokingly hit her dance partner as they continued to laugh.

“Rose, he is very sweaty,” Janette continued. “He’s very sweaty but apparently, it’s quite expensive sweat!”

The presenter then changed the topic to the waltz, the second dance the couple will be performing at the weekend.

Now they’ve made the semi-finals, each couple will be taking on two dances rather than one.

Rose and Giovani are dancing the Argentina tango to A Evaristo Carriego by Eduardo Rovira and the waltz to How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding.

The remaining couples AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington, Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu and John Whaite and Johannes Radebe will be competing against them for a place in the final.

Speaking on It Takes Two on Wednesday, judge Anton du Beke said of Rose: “She’s got such lovely quality, certainly in the ballroom dances, she’s exquisite.

“Her Latin dances have improved week after week.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 7.05 on BBC One, while It Takes Two airs weekdays at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
