Holly Willoughby shares video of moment Elton John dedicates song to her and makes her ‘dreams come true’ – The Sun

HOLLY Willoughby has shared the once-in-a-lifetime moment that Elton John dedicated a song to her and her husband Dan Baldwin, after begging fans to track down the footage for her.

The This Morning presenter, 38 posted the clip on her instagram page yesterday, showing Elton on his Goodbye Yellow Brick Road world tour saying: "I hope you like what you see and what you hear. And this song is for Dan and Holly."

He then launches into the 1983 hit I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues.

Holly captioned the video: "I was beginning to think it was all a dream…but it did actually happen…Thank @eltonjohn…making dreams come true."

Holly's followers showed their appreciation for the footage, flooding the post- which has already racked up nearly 500,000 views – with comments.

"Wooowwww Eltonjohn awesome," wrote one.

A second said: "I'm so pleased that this 'special clip was found. Well done, and pleased for you Holly and Dan."

A third wrote: "Just cried" while another simply called the moment "fabulous".

Even Holly's celebrity pal  Davina McCall couldn't believe it, commenting on the post: "Oh my god, are you for real?"

The footage is from earlier this month, when Holly jetted to Tuscany, Italy for the weekend to watch the legend perform. She missed the following

Monday's episode of This Morning, with co-host Phillip Schofield telling viewers she was enjoying a "long weekend".

When she returned to the show on the Tuesday, she explained all on-air about what she had been up to.

She told Phillip, 57: "I had the best weekend, I really did. Dan surprised me with some tickets to go see Elton John a long, long time ago.

"And it was a very special concert because it was in Tuscany. It was outside in the walled city of Lucco, it was absolutely beautiful."

The ITV darling, who had posted a number of snaps from the trip on Instagram, got to meet the singer before his gig and told Elton how a lyric in his hit I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues meant a lot to them as a couple.

"It was made extra special by the fact that Elton very kindly asked if we would come and say hello to him beforehand so I was all a bit starstruck about that," she said. "And we have this picture, which is really nice."

"He sounded incredible but I told him at the time that Dan and I have a favourite lyric in a song, which is called I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues.

"'Live for each second without hesitation. And never forget I'm your man.' We love that bit so I told him that, didn't think anything of it."

After their meeting, Holly said that she and Dan went out to watch Elton when he surprised the couple by dedicating their favourite track to them.

Holly beamed: "And then we went to see the concert, we were standing there and Elton goes 'I'm dedicating this song to Holly and Dan' and then played that song and it was one of the most magical moments of my life ever."

Following the emotional moment, Holly revealed that she was so stunned by the kind gesture that she never got to record the moment so asked viewers if they were there to send in the clip.

"But obviously because we're just watching it, I wasn't filming that bit… so if anybody was there or if anybody was filming it and saw that bit, I'd love to have it. I don't know whether you've got it anywhere."

Phil joked: "We might need Gino to broadcast this on Italian television for you as well".
