IT may only be the start of November – but Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson’s Cheshire mansion is ALREADY decked out for Christmas.
Kieron, 34, who plays Ste in the Channel 4 soap, took to Instagram to reveal his family’s sensational ‘winter wonderland’ was finished 7 weeks before the big day.
Kieron, his husband Carl Hyland and their three-year-old twins Chase and Phoebe gathered on the sofa to pose with the incredible display – complete with giant candy canes, a polar bear statue and a bauble-packed Christmas tree.
“Our winter wonderland is up…. Thanks to @lmalison2011 I will put a video up to give the details justice, they are incredible,” he wrote alongside the snap.
The star then shared a video of his living room glowing with Christmas lights.
While fans were in awe of the stunning festive set-up, little Chase’s expression seemed less-than-impressed.
Kieron’s Hollyoaks castmate Gregory Finnegan, who plays James Nightingale, commented: “Appears Chase isn’t quite ready to give up Halloween and get in the Christmas spirit! Looks as good as you told me it would!”
And ex-Hollyoaks star Hollie-Jay Bowes, who played Michaela McQueen on the hit series, joked: “Jesus guys. Early or what?”
It could be that Kieron’s Christmas decorations have been in the works since October – as he admitted in an October 7 Instagram post that he wanted a blue colour scheme for 2020’s tree.
It’s set to be another magical Christmas period for the Hyland-Richardson clan, which grew twofold in May 2017 after the arrival of twins Chase and Phoebe via a surrogate.
Despite initial struggling to become parents with IVF following their 2015 wedding, Kieron and Carl are now in full doting dad mode.
He once told reporters at the British Soap Awards: “[The twins] chop and change all the time, she used to be the classic cute one and he'd be independent and do what he wants, but now it's reversed.
“She's like the diva of the family and he's the one being all cuddly and lovey-dovey, so they change every week.”
Though Kieron recently confessed he’s a fiercely protective dad, too – after a 2019 Hollyoaks storyline about Ste becoming radicalised led to Twitter trolls making comments about his kids.
He told OK! magazine: “I had people saying things like: ‘You’re teaching your kid to be racist. You’re an irresponsible parent.’ I just couldn’t deal with people saying things about my kids.”
“When I see those comments, I want to retaliate but then I’m becoming a keyboard warrior myself and I don’t want to do that.”
