Soap star Emile John is famous for playing the role of Ethan Anderson in Emmerdale, but he's also become quite the hunk over the last year.
Recently, Emile's character of Ethan has found himself at the centre of a dramatic HIV plot on the hit ITV soap after he slept with Eddy during their one night stand.
Earlier this week, vicar's son Ethan was shocked to receive a phone call from Eddy, because he thought the pair had agreed not to pursue anything romantic after their one night of passion.
Eddy revealed that he might be HIV positive and had taken a test, which has sparked fan fears that Ethan could suffer from the virus too.
However, Emile's real life is quite different and he has undergone an impressive body transformation in recent months – especially during lockdown – which has seen him grow into incredible shape.
Back in February, the star posted a before and after snap which showed he had piled on the muscle after initially "falling off his grind" after the first lockdown.
The hunky actor could be seen with ripped arms and sharp abs as he wore a pair of blue shorts.
Taking to Instagram to post the sexy snap, Emile seemed delighted with his results as he penned the caption: "Sep 2020 – Feb 2021 Fell off my grind after Lockdown 1, but a few small wins later…
"Shouts to my sis @amiravictoriaa for her advice, check her if you want results. Anyway, I got a Zinger Burger to knock back, peace."
It appears the handsome actor decided to get to work after the first lockdown, and has made some inspiring gains since.
Back in April, Emile appeared on ITV's Lorraine – where he opened up to the TV icon about his inspiring fitness journey.
He explained that in order to achieve his body goals, he decided to take things "seriously" and recruit the help of a personal trainer.
He then underwent a grueling new workout regime which involved lifting weights and running.
Chat show legend Lorraine had clearly been impressed with Emile's toned body, as she said: "Also young man you have been working out."
As a before and after shot appeared on the screen, she gushed: "Look at the difference there. Rather lovely."
A beaming Emile replied: "That was back in lockdown one.
"I just thought I'd focus on my fitness since there is nothing else to do, so why not get into shape.
"I really took it seriously and I started running and lifting more weights.
"I'd been working out with a friend who is a PT.
"Being on TV you need to look good and be prepared."
It comes as Emile has hinted at what could lie ahead for his character Ethan on Emmerdale after finding out that Eddy has been diagnosed with HIV.
It has been widely documented that people with HIV can lead long and satisfying lives with the appropriate care and treatment, but Ethan has been panicking about the situation.
Discussing the plotline, Ethan has hinted at future tensions between Eddy and Ethan, because their relationship has become quite "transactional".

He explained that both men are still new to each other and are navigating through a consequential period with another stranger – which isn't an easy thing to do.
Emile also wanted to point out that Ethan may feel that his religious father will not be able to tolerate him having HIV as a black and gay man.
He said: "The guilt and shame that goes with being associated with HIV because of the stigma is enough to silence Ethan. Ethan is a Black gay man, this alone within parts of the Black community is still a taboo."

"Ethan may feel that the chances of him having HIV are too much for his father to tolerate. Charles is a second generation, traditionally raised Caribbean man, who's also an ordained reverend.
"In Ethan's mind, Charles is one of the last people he feels he can open up to about this, he feels he is bringing shame to his father. What Ethan is blind to, because of his fears and anxieties, is the unconditional love that Charles has for his son.
"In Ethan's case, I feel he'd definitely struggle living with HIV and the myths and misinformation that circulate concerning those who are positive. Ethan is someone who is conscious of how he is perceived by others."
However, Emile wanted to point out that anyone who is diagnosed with HIV can still live long, healthy and fulfilling lives due to the advancements in modern medicine.
