JENELLE Evans' ex David Eason has ditched his wedding ring after the Teen Mom star got a restraining order against him.
David, 31, was looking for sympathy on Instagram when he shared photos of his left hand, while sliding off his wedding ring.
Jenelle announced the end of their turbulent two year marriage on Instagram last Thursday and went into hiding.
But David retaliated online as he announced to his 400,000 followers alongside a sad face emoji: "I guess I can take this off now…"
He added over a second photo of his ring finger: "its gonna take some time for that to heal."
Speaking about the restraining order, a source told The Ashley's Reality Roundup: "The restraining order was granted because Jenelle was able to show proof [to the judge] that abuse had occurred.
"Now that David’s been served, she can begin the divorce proceedings. Jenelle is in hiding.
"She has no plans to return to The Land. She has left the state and does not plan to come back to North Carolina for her stuff or anything. The kids are with her."
Last week, Jenelle raised the alarm that Jenelle had gone missing, telling his fans: "So since Jenelle has disappeared and I have no contact with her or Ensley, I have no option but to file a missing person's report."
However, he instead filed a complaint that his dog had been stolen.
According to TMZ Eason, who shares 2-year-old daughter Ensley with Jenelle, contacted the Columbus County Sheriff's Office Tuesday to report his dog missing.
It's not the first time that a four-legged friend has been the centre of conflict between the pair.
David admitted to killing the family pet, French bulldog Nugget, in April.
The couple then adopted two Anatolian Shepherd dogs after he killed Nugget, claiming they would help to take care of their numerous farm animals.
Meanwhile, Jenelle told followers that the break up was "what is best for me, and for my kids," and moved away from the family's North Carolina home.
Jenelle has three children, 10-year-old Jace Evans, 5-year-old Kaiser Griffith and 2-year-old Ensley Eason
She obtained a restraining order against Evans on Monday, reports E! News.
The former 16 and Pregnant star documents several incidents of David's alleged abuse and says she is concerned for her and her children's safety.
Jenelle states in the filing that David's threats have "escalated" over the past few days.
"Because of his recent threats, his history of violence, his erratic behavior and his large stockpile of weapons, I am scared for my life and my children's well-being," she wrote, according E!
She was fired by MTV earlier this year when Eason shot and killed their pet dog.
