Ted Richards is best known for appearing on The Jeremy Kyle Show after turning himself into a parrot, but what does he look like now? And has he taken any more steps in order to transform himself into a parrot? We have the answers.
If you recognise Bristol-based Ted, you probably remember him appearing on the popular show when he was joined by his then-girlfriend Susanna (Ted's Facebook relationship status now states 'single') and wanted to prove that he was normal, despite his unusual appearance.
Ted Parrotman, as he is know officially named, has undergone hours of surgery so that he resembles the colourful bird and has over 100 tattoos and 50 piercings. Ted's tongue is split in half too, and he's even had his ears removed in order to look more like the bird.
After appearing on the show, Ted didn't stop getting surgery – in fact he has continued to alter his appearance in order to become a parrot, and underwent six-hours of surgery to remove his earlobes, which he then gave to a friend who has preserved them in resin.
Back in 2016, one year after his first TV appearance, Ted spoke about his earlobe removal, saying: "When I had my ears removed I had these put in [two metal studs into the side of his head] to hold my glasses on. Otherwise my glasses fall off."

The TV personality spends his time looking after his variety of pets which include: his parrots, pet green iguana and Pit Bull Terrier.
With his name officially recognised by deed poll as Ted Parrotman, his love of birds and parrots has never wavered, and for his birthday this summer (2021), Ted even took to Facebook to raise money for a cause close to his heart.

Taking to Facebook on July 4, Ted penned: "For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Exotic Avian Sanctuary of Tennessee. I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me." He raised £18 of the £150 that he had aimed to raise for the cause.
If you're wondering what else you've seen Ted in, he also appeared on Channel 5 when he starred on The House of Extraordinary People in 2018.
