Jurassic World stars old and new cuddle up during Dominion filming

Jurassic Park legends including Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum have been spotted filming the new movie, Jurassic World: Dominion, and they look like they’re getting on like a house on fire with the newer stars.

Although filming has been paused for two weeks due to positive coronavirus tests on set, snaps have emerged of the next instalment being filmed – and they’re completely adorable.

Chris Pratt, who plays Owen, can be seen with an arm around Bryce Dallas Howard, who stars as Claire, in one photo, as she stays warm with a blanket.

Elsewhere, Laura and Jeff, who are reprising their roles as Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm, could be seen chatting and laughing away with the cast and crew as they clearly enjoyed their time filming.

With fans being given a glimpse of the movie, which has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Sam Neill’s chracter (Alan Grant), could be seen hugging and kissing Laura’s.

The whole cast and crew looked completely content as they braved the rain and watched the final scene of the movie being filmed, with some masking up for safety.

The photos come amid the news that production has halted for two weeks due to positive coronavirus tests on set.

A statement posted to the film’s official Twitter reads: ‘Late last night, we were informed that the Jurassic World: Dominion production experienced a small amount of positive tests for COVID-19.

‘Even though subsequent tests proved negative this morning, due to our rigid protocols and to ensure that the safety & well-being of our entire cast & crew is paramount at all times, those who initially tested positive are currently self-isolating, as are those who they have come into contact with.

‘As a result filming has been temporarily paused & will resume in accordance with established safety guidelines.’

Meanwhile, the release date has been pushed back a whole year. The new release date for the movie has been slated as June 10, 2022.

It’s reported that the delay is not due to issues with production or because of the coronavirus pandemic – it’s Universal not wanting to overpack their already busy release schedule for 2021.

Jurassic World: Dominion is slated for release on June 10, 2022.
