Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have revealed the identity of a secret stand-by celebrity who had never actually got onto the show.
The late Keith Chegwin had been brought in behind the scenes of the first series back in 2002 as a stand-in, but never appeared in the jungle.
Geordie duo Ant and Dec exposed the show's secrets on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! spin-off A Jungle Story.
Speaking of the first series, Ant said: "We had stand-bys in those days – Keith Chegwin – just in case anybody pulled out."
Dec added: "And he never got on," before Ant explained: "He never got on, he just hung around the hotel with his camcorder… poor Keith Chegwin."
Keith, who died in 2017 at the age of 60, was no stranger to reality television, despite not appearing on I'm A Celeb, as he did star on Celebrity Big Brother.
The former TV host died after a long illness after a lengthy career on shows such as Swap Shop, Saturday Superstore and The Big Breakfast.
Back in 2002, radio DJ Tony Blackburn won the 15-day long series.
The late socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson came in second place, while TV star Christine Hamilton came third.
Also starring in the very first series were Nell McAndrew, Rhona Cameron, Darren Day, Nigel Benn and Uri Geller.
The line-up for this year's series has finally been confirmed too after week's of speculation.
The famous faces heading to Wales for a stay in Gwrych Castle are: AJ Pritchard, Beverley Callard, Giovanna Fletcher, Hollie Arnold, Jessica Plummer, Jordan North, Mo Farah, Shane Richie, Vernon Kay and Victoria Derbyshire.
Last year, former EastEnders babe Jacqueline Jossa was crowned the Queen of the Jungle, after beating the likes of Andy Whyment, Roman Kemp and Kate Garraway.
The big name draw in the 2019 was Caitlyn Jenner, who lasted until two days before the finale, coming in sixth place and leaving with Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle.
