Laura Whitmore has addressed fans after they questioned why Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank weren't interviewed on the sofa during Sunday's Love Island reunion on Aftersun.

During the episode, other finalists Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, and Millie Court and Liam Reardon, all sat on the stage as they spoke to Laura, 36, about their time on the show.

While Kaz and Tyler remained seating in the audience while they spoke to the presenter after becoming boyfriend and girlfriend on a cute bowling date.

Taking to Twitter after the episode aired, viewers were quick to question why Kaz and Tyler weren't interviewed on the sofa with one fan tweeting: "So where is Kaz and Tyler's Sofa time? #LoveIsland."

Laura took to her Instagram Story on Monday to "clarify a few things" as she said that her job is "not to organise seating" and that every decision is ran past Islanders before airing.

The Irish presenter put: "Shall I clarify a few other things? Hundreds of people work on Love Island. My job is not to organise seating arrangements. I barely know what seat I'm sitting in before the show as set changes so much.

"We invited Kaz to sit with Toby for his exes segment but she didn’t want to and it’s her choice to make. Everything is run through with the Islanders before hand. It's all about choice!"

Laura added: "I only ask questions that are pre approved by the compliance division. A lot of meetings happen before I see the script and then I can add my voice."

She continued: "Unlike previous years, the Islanders weren't allowed alcohol. Please remember they are just regular people who were nervous on live telly, I'm sure some would have loved a drink for the nerves."

However, despite Laura addressing fans' questions, viewers were still left confused as they claimed that the presenter's statement still didn't explain why the couple weren't on the sofa.

One person said: "I think people are more concerned about why Tyler and Kaz were not interviewed together on the sofa as a finalist couple, not this Laura … #LoveIsland."

While a different account added: "Laura Whitmore addressed a few things regarding last night, but she still didn't address whether or not Kaz and Tyler wanted to have their interview on the sofa. #LoveIsland."

As well as the other finalists being interviewed on the sofa, Hugo Hammond also sat on the stage with his former flames Amy Day, Sharon Gaffka, Georgia Townend and AJ Bunker, as well as Liberty Poole.

Taking to Twitter at the time, viewers questioned why Kaz and Tyler weren't on the sofa for their interview and were instead in the audience.

One person said: "Why did Hugo and the friendzone crew get a seat on the main sofa but not Kaz and Tyler? #LoveIsland #LoveIslandReunion."

A different account put: "WHY ARE KAZ AND TYLER NOT ON THE MAIN SOFA?! #LoveIsland."

While another follower added: "How are kaz and Tyler the only finalists to not get a sofa interview #LoveIsland."

However, another show watcher added: 'Tbh I don’t think Kaz and Tyler wanted to be on that sofa. I think they declined. #LoveIsland."
