Lily James ‘cancels Today Show appearance’ after Dominic West kissing scandal

Lily James is believed to have cancelled an appearance on the Today Show just days after she was pictured on an Italian getaway with co-star Dominic West.

The Rebecca actress was seen kissing Dominic during their break in Rome, despite him being in a "strong" marriage with wife Catherine.

Lily, 31, was scheduled to appear on the NBC talk show today to discuss her latest drama Rebecca, which was released on Friday.

It was revealed by Page Six that both Lily and Armie had cancelled their appearance and it was unclear whether they would appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon later in the week.

James stars alongside Call Me By Your Name actor, Armie Hammer, who plays the role of Maxim de Winter – who was made famous by Laurence Olivier in Alfred Hitchcock's 1940 film version, which received an Oscar.

Lily was caught passionately kissing Dominic who she stars alongside in the BBC adaptation of Nancy Mitford's The Pursuit of Love.

Dominic West, 50, shared four children with Catherine, who he has been married to for ten years.

He was snapped getting cosy with Lily as they got close over an intimate lunch.

The pair were also seen riding off together on a scooter with West wrapping his arms around Lily.

It recently came to light that Lily had split from long-term boyfriend, The Crown's Matt Smith after they had been dating for five years.

Shortly after the photographs emerged, Dominic and Catherine put on a united front as they appeared outside their family home, confirming they are "very much" still an item.

During a photocall outside their home in Wiltshire, Dominic said: "I just want to say our marriage is strong and we are very much still together."

Meanwhile, the appearance on The Today Show comes as Armie Hammer filed for joint custody of his two children that he shares with ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers.

The couple announced in July that they were separating after ten years of marriage.

It was reported that Elizabeth and their children had stayed in the Cayman Islands where they were holidaying as a family, while Armie returned to Los Angeles for work commitments.

Daily Star Online has approached representatives for Lily James for comment.
