Lizzie Cundy falls off her chair and crashes to floor in huge TalkTV mishap

Socialite Lizzie Cundy was left in embarrassment after she fell to the ground and under her desk during her Talk TV show with Ash Gould.

During their chat on Sunday (March 19), the 54-year-old stood up as Ash told viewers that they were adjusting her seat height.

As a hilarious prank, co-host Chuck Thomas appeared on screen to pull the office seat out from behind Lizzie, leaving her to crash to the ground.

Lizzie dropped to the ground with a thud and burst out laughing, before shouting: "I thought you were there!

"I can't believe you did that to me Chuck!" she laughed.

Chuck then replied: "I was lifting your chair up, Lizzie!"

Lizzie's mishap which left her red-faced comes after she revealed that she'd be up for the new Love Island spin-off, Romance Retreat, which has been calling for middle-aged single parents to join the cast.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at the Together for Short Lives Ball earlier this month, the ex-wife of Jason Cundy said: "I did the original one with Shirley Valentine, we went to Greece to find a man."

She continued: "I did well in that show and I think I’d do well in it again, I’d be very up for it."

Lizzie also teased that there may be a special someone in her life at the moment however, but would still be up for the show should her new romance fail.

"I might have someone on the horizon but if it doesn’t work out then I’ll do the show," the TV personality added.

The upcoming dating series will be named The Romance Retreat and will air on ITV’s main channel. Despite Vanessa Feltz expressing her interest in hosting the show, former Big Brother host Davina McCall has been lined up to present.

Speaking about the show on Steven Bartlett's podcast, she said: "I willed there to be an amazing new dating show programme for grown-ups.

“People who have lived a life, who have been through experiences. Bad, moving, hard. They have had tough lives, they have got luggage, but they deserve love."
