Love Island addressed Anton Danyluk’s illness after they announced he left the villa for the day.
The Scottish star, who is coupled up with Belle Hassan, left viewers baffled after he was missing from Wednesday’s show entirely.
Love Island revealed he had spent the night away from the villa after falling ill.
The show addressed his condition as voiceover Iain Stirling joked about the 24-year-old having “two weeks to live”.
Iain said: "Anton's not here, he's a bit poorly. We sent him to Juan Juan the Medical Man who sadly gave him just two weeks to live."
He then paused before adding: "…in the villa before he goes home to Scotland."
It’s believed Anton has now returned to the villa and will be featured in Thursday's show.
Love Island announced before Wednesday’s episode that Anton would be absent from the show and that he had left the villa.
Baffled fans were left confused as to what had happened to the star, as Belle was shown alone in several scenes.
One fan tweeted: “Omg where is Anton? Swear I haven’t seen him yet.”
A second added: “Anyone else notice Anton is gone?!”
