Love Island newcomer Luca Bish admitted he was once mobbed by fans at Pizza Express while on a date with Saffron Barker.
The pair dated for "a few months", and were even spotted in a cosy snap together cuddled up in bed as they told fans "good night" in an old snap.
Now he has opened up to Daily Star and other press about his time dating the Strictly Come Dancing star, explaining that they attended the same school and met "through friends".
Luca said: "We went to the same school in Brighton, and we saw each other once and then there was, I can’t even remember… but we did something as a group and she was there and we both ended up there at the time.
"Saffron was just coming out of a relationship and then that was it, we hit the ground running a bit. We’re still really good mates!"

Fishmonger Luca said things hadn't worked out between the pair because of Saffron's "busy lifestyle".
He said: "She’s got a very busy lifestyle, and I work in the fish trade which is a night game, so it was just very hard to work out at the time.
"I’d say the last time we spoke was before she went to LA, just before then, so maybe a month and a half ago, but just under six months ago is when we dated. Just for a few months, we stayed with each other a few times and went on a few dates. Now I see her as a good friend."

But things got real for Luca when the pair were mobbed by fans wielding cameras while they were enjoying a meal at Pizza Express.
Luca explained that he's used to being in the public eye even before making it in the villa.
He said: "I didn’t really speak to Saffron about going on the show, obviously it’s all confidential.
"But being around [family friend] Patsy Palmer, and my mum’s got a few mates in the public eye, and with Saffron, you kind of get used to the scenarios that are happening.
"I think we were in Pizza Express once, me and Saffron, and we had kids running up to the window taking pictures of me stuffing my face with dough-balls!"
But he wasn't put off an appearance on the show, as Luca went on: "I’ve always been really private, even with Saffron, even with my ex – who had like 300,000 followers – I’ve always kept mine really private.
"So followers and stuff, they really don’t mean a thing to me. If I was knocked out in a day and end up back doing fish, I was happy then and I’ll be happy again I’m sure."
