Arthur Poremba has told how he can't even go to the gym without a Married At First Sight UK fan asking him to spill secrets about the E4 show.
Arthur, 37, is one of the grooms on this year's series of the hit reality TV show, and has been paired with bride Laura Vaughan, 34. MAFS has proven to be wildly popular over recent years, but Arthur has admitted he was unaware how big the show actually is until it began airing in September and fans began approaching him.
"I've had the most amazing response from fans of the show. It's been really good," he told the Daily Star.
It seems Arthur can't escape MAFS fans however, as he even gets approached while working out by eager TV viewers who are keen to find out more about the show – despite contestants not being allowed to reveal anything.
He said: "People come up to me in the gym to try and find out a bit more. Every single comes up to me and is like 'oh my god are you guys still together?' and I'm like 'I can't talk about the show, I can only talk about things you've already seen.'
"I was in the changing room and I was just about the leave to go home and there was a half naked guy that runs up to me and is like 'are you that guy from Married at First Sight? Can I have a selfie?'. I didn't realise how big the show was until it came out."
Arthur and Laura's marriage got off to a rocky start after the bride was left unimpressed by her groom's wedding vows, with Arthur admitting he'd got his speech from the internet. However, things have been going well for them on the show after they resolved their initial issues.
MAFS couples are not allowed to reveal if their marriage lasted or not until the entire series has aired, but Laura and Arthur have dropped hints that their romance has continued on the outside world.
In an exclusive chat with OK!, Laura revealed that she and Arthur had already discussed the prospect of a festive season together, with the 34 year old bride explaining she hoped to be able to visit Arthur’s home country of Poland to experience his culture and traditions firsthand.
“We’ve spoken about going to Poland, and just immersing myself in the first 15-16 years of his life,” began Laura, while touching on the fact, Arthur was raised in the country throughout his childhood before emigrating to the UK.
The smitten bride then continued: “I think it'd be nice and cosy and the weather would be cold and we might get some snow – I think that’d be cool."
However that wasn’t all she had planned, as she also revealed she would love to enjoy a quintessential British Christmas tradition with him too, as she added: “And then maybe coming back here and doing a traditional like Christmas market.”
