Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) has made her highly-anticipated return to Hollyoaks, but there was little time to dwell on her comeback, as Nana’s (Diane Langton) health took as turn for the worse.
Nana, as viewers know, hasn’t been feeling like herself as of late, and recent scenes saw her contemplate moving into a care home.
Following a tough festive season, she ultimately decided that she would accept the place offered to her at the residential home, and thus she informed her loved ones of her decision on Monday (December 27).
Theresa (Jorgie Porter), John Paul (James Sutton) and Goldie (Chelsee Healey) struggled to accept what they were hearing, with Goldie ordering the matriarch to reconsider.
Nana’s mind, however, was made up.
Subsequent scenes saw her get in touch with the care home to accept their offer of a place, but tragedy struck as she felt dizzyr.
She crashed into the wall outside The Dog, just as Mercedes arrived back in the village.
Mercedes was horrified by what she’d just witnessed, as Sylver (David Tag) phoned for an ambulance.
Bobby Costello (Jayden Fox) was concerned that Nana would die, but Mercedes promised him that would not happen.
Nana was taken away in the ambulance, but will she be okay?
Hollyoaks continues Tuesday December 28 at 7pm on E4, or catch the next episode right now on All 4.
