Paddy McGuinness says randy Take Me Out beauty brought sex toy to use on date

Paddy McGuinness was left shaken by the sex-mad antics of Take Me Out’s female contestants.

The TV host said one of the ITV show’s girls knocked him sideways when she turned up on set with a vibrator in her handbag.

He said she took the sex toy along when she was picked for a date at the show’s famous Fernando’s.

The 47-year-old dad-of-three said there were 'tons and tons' of similar shocking sex stories from his time on the show which ran for 110 episodes over 11 years.

He said he had to coach the male competitors ahead of their TV appearances as they were always more nervous than the women choosers.

Paddy also did not want the girls to get 'too familiar' with him.

He said the sex toy seductress emerged in the 'very early years' of the show when date venue Fernando’s was a club in Manchester rather than a five-star hotel in Tenerife which it became later as the budget was increased.

The comic told the Two Pints With Will & Ralf podcast: "One of the producers was telling me this girl turned up on the date and she had a vibrator in her bag, and he’s like, 'What’s this?'

"She said, 'Oh, that’s for us tonight, we’re gonna use it'.

`When you hear stuff like that I was like, 'What?'

"It’s like when you’re a kid and you read the adult magazines and you go, 'This never happens to me'."

Paddy said he focused on keeping male contestants calm as they prepared to face the huge groups of girls.

"I used to make a rule for Take Me Out – I’d rehearse more with the lads because they were on their own and they were nervous," he said.

"The girls, there’s 30 of them together, they’re on TV, they’re having a good laugh.

"I’d come on and run though a few questions and I’d leave it then because I didn’t want them to get too familiar with me when we were actually recording.

"A lot of it was ad-libbed so I could keep it fresh.

"I’d spend more time with the lads.

"When I’d hear things of what had gone on, with them sleeping with each other and everything else, I’d be like, 'Really? Her? I’d never have thought that in a million years'.

"But that’s young people, innit? That’s what we did back then.

"I was only like that because I’m old, but back then I’d be like, 'Yeah, that seems pretty standard, why not?'"
