Patsy Palmer reveals Bianca's return to EastEnders was cancelled due to Covid

Patsy Palmer has revealed that Bianca was supposed to return to EastEnders but the appearance got cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The actor appeared on Loose Women along with Sid Owen – who played Ricky in the show – and dropped that she was actually in the UK for filming right before lockdown.

Speaking on the show, Patsy said: ‘I would like to work with Sid again, but I don’t know – I haven’t watched EastEnders so I don’t know how they are doing it now.

‘I mean I was there just before lockdown and I had to leave. There was a little bit I was going to do but I didn’t end up doing it and I don’t know how they’re doing it now because I haven’t seen it.

‘Are they doing it? Are they filming right now? I don’t know, it’s terrible.’

It’s thought that the scenes Patsy was supposed to film might have been to do with Whitney’s trial.

However, given that Patsy now lives in Malibu, California, she is unlikely to be able to return to the UK for filming for a while due to the ongoing situation with coronavirus.

Travel between the UK and USA is still restricted, with Patsy flying back home before the lockdown began.

Patsy and Sid also shared their best memories of working together, admitting their would always get in trouble for constantly laughing while filming.

While Patsy video called in from the USA, Sid had his camera off for the conversation as he admitted the injuries from his accident earlier in the year had knocked his confidence.

Sid had had to undergo surgery on his jaw after a golf ball hit him in the face in January, injuring his face.

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30 on ITV.
