Sarah Jayne Dunn has revealed her husband supports her OnlyFans account amid her ‘axing’ from Hollyoaks.
She revealed last week that her intention in signing up the site was so that she could share her ‘racier’ images with fans.
The 40-year-old told her followers that she had ‘thought long and hard’ about her decision to create an OnlyFans account, explaining that she wants to take back control of her image.
Speaking about her move to OnlyFans, Sarah Jayne recently explained to The Capsule podcast:
‘It was a big step and one that I was really, really quite anxious about. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for months and discussing with various people and thinking of various different ways of doing it, for a few months.’
Sarah Jayne went on to add how her husband, Jonathan, supports her decision:
‘Obviously, I’m married as well, and my husband has been super supportive. All my friends and family know, it’s not something where I’ve gone, “Ooh, let’s keep this under the radar”, I want to own it.’
At the time, there was no indication there would be a dispute with Hollyoaks, but Sarah Jayne has since lost her role as Mandy Richardson after talks with bosses broke down, with the long standing character now being axed
A spokesperson for the show told Metro.co.uk last night: ‘Hollyoaks is a youth-facing drama with many young viewers, who follow our cast very closely, both in the soap and outside of it.
‘We take our responsibility to our young audience very seriously and therefore the show does not allow any Hollyoaks cast members to be active on certain 18+ websites.
‘We had hoped we could reach a resolution with Sarah that would allow her to remain in her role as Mandy, but we respect her choice to continue to produce content on OnlyFans.
‘In the past four years since her return to the show her legacy character has been an integral part of some our most important storylines and we will be very sad to see her go.’
Sarah made her debut in Hollyoaks back in 1996, appearing regularly until 2008. She reprised her role in 2010, before announcing her departure the following year, but she ultimately returned on a full-time basis in 2017.
