A PLACE In The Sun host Scarlette Douglas has quit the Channel 4 show after seven years to focus on property development and fronting other prime-time shows.
They include a series with her brother, property developer Stuart, called Worst House On The Street, as well as renovation show Flipping Fast, both on C4.
A source said: “Scarlette loved her time on A Place In The Sun, especially the platform it gave her, but now she wants to focus on property development with her brother and is really excited about new projects.
“She is passionate about adding value to houses and thinks the new series can help a lot of people.”
On A Place In The Sun, Scarlette would help Brits find homes abroad.
But last month she revealed the problems the pandemic had caused for makers of the show.

She said: “Last year we couldn’t really travel because of Covid, and Brexit and all of that sort of stuff, but then in August I got stuck in Spain with Covid for two weeks.
“When I looked at my diary for this year and at the end of last year I had a bit of a burnout, I had a bit of a meltdown.
“I thought, ‘I don’t know how I’m going to do this’, but by the grace of God and a lot of vitamins and a lot of water, it is kind of getting me through.”
