Shirley Ballas, 60, was once again joined by Craig Revel Horwood, 55, and Motsi Mabuse, 39, to judge the remaining 11 Strictly Come Dancing contestants. The former dancer made her entrance after the cast of professional stars paid homage to the James Bond franchise to mark the start of Movie week. However, her lilac-coloured dress left viewers of the BBC dance show taking to Twitter to comment as they thought she was rather aptly done up like a “Disney Princess.”
One irritated viewer posted: “Hate hate Shirley’s ‘toilet roll holder’ dress. I usually love her style #Strictly.”
Another added: “Shirley is dressed like a little girl at a party dressed as Cinderella #Strictly #scd,” with a third remarking: “#Strictly @ShirleyBallas wearing her old bridesmaid dress.”
“I genuinely don’t know how to feel about Shirley’s dress. I love it and hate it at the same time #strictly,” a fourth commented.
Whilst a fifth shared: “Why is Shirley dressed as a Disney princess, but the others are in their normal clobber? #Strictly.”
A sixth opined: “Shirley has dressed as Rachel in the Friends episode The One With The Prom Video. #strictly.”
In view of her 166,000 followers, Shirley shared a video on Instagram where she applauded her wardrobe team.
The head judge wrote: “Are we all ready for #movieweek I am, it’s going to be absolutely fabulous in every way.
“@bbcstrictly wardrobe, hair in fact everything is super fun. Be sure to vote as it will be difficult to see anyone go home.
“@janeburstow thank you for my hair and makeup. @alexandriastylist thank you for being there from the beginning I love my dress for this evening.”
Some fans responded after seeing her dress, adding: “Enjoy every minute! A true role model,” with a second writing: “Beautiful.”

Shirley wasn’t the only one who caught the viewer’s attention as hosts Tess Daly, 51, and Claudia Winkleman, 48, caused a stir on social media with their appearances.
The former wore a full-length, sleeveless red dress, finishing off the attire with red heels to match the main event.
Her co-star wore a black sequin dress, which left one of her arms bare as one fan replied: “See Claudia has borrowed one of Tess’ one arm dresses #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.”
“I like Tess’ dress again. What’s going on?! #Strictly,” a second posted, with a third writing: “#Strictly @TessDaly has a stunning dress! Stunning!!! #scd.”

Strictly 2020 winners poll: Who do you think will win Strictly 2020? [POLL]
It was announced earlier this week this year’s season finale will undergo a shake-up due to the changes made as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Instead of three celebrities vying for the crown, five famous faces will be taking to the dance floor for the last episode of the series.
This ties in with the latest run being some weeks shorter and fewer contestants taking part than usual to maintain safe social distancing.
A source explained to The Mirror: “They are sure it will capture imaginations. It will make things much more open with the potential for big shocks.”
This year’s season debut was also delayed, with the show kick-starting in October, rather than the end of September.
Only one celebrity has left the competition so far, with former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, 58, being voted off by the public last Sunday.
Professional dancer Anton du Beke, 54, also crashed out of the series early as he was partnered with the politician.
Following Movie Week, another famous face will be eliminated with JJ Chalmers, 33, the favourite to be knocked out.
Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs Sunday at 7:15pm on BBC One.
