The One Show pulled off air tonight in ANOTHER BBC schedule shake-up

THE One Show has been pulled off air this evening to make way for the Invictus Games.

The popular BBC show hosted by Welsh presenter Alex Jones, former footballer Jermaine Jenas and singer Ronan Keating will be replaced by a night of sport.

Closing Thursday's show on April 14, host Alex revealed: "I'm off the Hague to present the BBC's coverage on the Invictus Games, and you can catch the first show this Sunday at 4.20pm on BBC One.

"Then it's on Monday, 6.30pm and 7pm on Tuesday," she added.

The One Show will return to BBC One on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, as usual.

The One Show's official Twitter account posted after Thursday's episode: "We'll be off-air until next Wednesday 20th April – have a lovely Easter weekend!"

The Games returns after being postponed since 2020 due to the pandemic.

It's an international sporting event for "wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women".

It has been held four times previously, with the first game taking place in London in 2014 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, after just 10 months of planning.

Prince Harry launched the Invictus Games in hope that it will use the power of sport to help recovery and support rehabilitation as well as generate a wider understanding for those that serve their country.
