Towie's Roman Hackett says trying to fix Chloe Brockett and Dani Imbert's friendship was 'biggest mistake of his life'

THE Only Way Is Essex newbie Roman Hackett regrets ever trying to help Chloe Brockett and Dani Imbert's friendship.

The reality newcomer – who joined the hit series this year – revealed it was the "worst mistake" when he tried to get them to sort out their differences.

Speaking exclusively to show legend Bobby Norris on tonight's TOWIE: The Official After Party, Roman said: "On Instagram I kept seeing them beef, chatting rubbish on the net.

"I thought let's just get them together and work it out like adults.

"But it was the worst mistake of my life."

On tonight's episode Roman ran into Chloe and chatted about her feud with Dani, which he told the latter about.

"So earlier I saw Chloe at the gym," Roman told Dani, who replied: "Did you, what did she have to say?"

Roman continued: "About the Gatsby thing, I said I understand why you're angry at him. With you… I just think it's a bit silly."

Dani then told him: "Yeah, we won't be friends, but I feel like we need to exchange words.

"We're gonna be done after this situation, I can assure you."

Dani and Chloe have been swiping at each other after her boyfriend, Liam Gatsby Blackwell, had a dig at Chloe over her fling with James 'Lockie' Lock.

Feisty Chloe confronted Gatsby on the beach in Sandbanks after learning he'd spoken about her rendezvous with James.

In the first episode of the new series, the Towie cast descended upon sunny Sandbanks for their summer holidays.

But the tranquil peace of the high-end resort was soon shattered when Chloe discovered Gatsby on the beach.

Her fling with James following his split from Yazmin Oukhellou sent shockwaves through the cast when it came to light earlier this year.

While the romance was short-lived and both Chloe and James have moved on, she was unhappy to hear Gatsby claim James described her as "cringe".

She said to him: "I feel like we need to speak about a few things. Saying James was cringed out about me? What's that about?"

Sitting in his deck chair, an annoyed Gatsby replied: "Why are you coming up to me and talking like we're mates?"

Undeterred, Chloe continued: "I'm not your pal so why are you saying it?"

Gatsby hit back: "I couldn't care less. I don't care if he's cringing or not cringing. I could not care less."

Things culminated in Chloe raging: "You're getting involved. Why do you give a f**k?

"I don't need this ag. You can go and write a song no one gives a f**k about you f****n idiot."

They have all come to blows again on social media after Chloe dislike a comment Gatsby made on Towie.

He said: "There's a lot of bikes in Essex" on a bike ride with Dani, but Chloe that it was a veiled dig at her.

She took to Instagram to write: "Gatsby saying 'There's a lot of bikes in Essex' once again reiterates how truly unintelligent and hateful he is.

"As a young, single woman, I can sleep with whoever I want, whenever I want, and I shouldn't have to receive derogatory comments from 'supposedly' grown men."

Dani then hit out at her writing: "Let me just add I've probably had two conversations with the girl in my LIFE. But here she is tweeting about me, making digs on Instagram and bringing up my name and then wants to preach about being kind? DO ME A FAVOUR."
