Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win will be making its ITV debut tonight (January 8) and the game show is the iconic duo’s first new show in a decade. The presenting pair hope for success after their previous game show, Red or Black, flopped. Here’s all you need to know about the top prize on Limitless Win.

What is the top prize on Limitless Win?

The answer may seem obvious as the show’s title suggests an infinite amount of money can be won.

The aim of the game is for contestants to work their way up a never-ending ladder for the chance to win huge amounts of money.

They must answer a range of questions in order to climb the next step on the ladder.

Unfortunately, if too many wrong answers are given, the contestants will lose all of their cash.

Host Ant McPartlin told PA news agency: “We did worry that we were going to bankrupt ITV.

“I think ours [show] is different because the answer to every question is a number, and it’s very simple, and everyone can play along.”

Commenting on the ultimate top prize, he added: “What makes it different is it’s the world’s first limitless jackpot.

“That’s the selling point for us, and that’s what hooked us in, is the fact there’s no top prize, and if you played this game right, you could win millions upon millions of pounds.”

The episodes will last an hour each and there are five episodes in the first series.

The presenting duo have been keeping fans up to date with backstage gossip ahead of the show’s launch.

On Twitter, they said: “Happy #LimitlessWin day! Looking forward to being with you on telly tonight.”

In another post, they shared: “Who else is shaking with excitement!? #LimitlessWin.”

Dec appeared in a promotional video for the series and he was heard saying: “I don’t know about you but I’m shaking.”

He held out his hand so viewers could see his nervousness as the players took huge risks.

A promotional photo showed the ladder and the bottom step showed a cash prize of £150,000.

The highest amount on the ladder was a whopping total of £1, 250,000.

But it seems the money does not stop there as Ant and Dec confirmed the prize was “limitless”.

BenGreenwood91 took to Twitter to question the prize and quipped: “‘Never Ending’ are you suggesting the height of this ladder is infinite?

“Such a ladder would stretch to at least 46.5 billion light-years away, which is going to lead to a grotesque amount of money being given away.

“This is misleading therefore I will not be watching. Good day.”

Other fans expressed their excitement and are looking forward to seeing the pair’s latest venture on screen.

Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win begins on ITV on January 8 at 8.30pm
