JENNA Coleman fans will see the actress take on very different role as she stars in BBC One's upcoming crime show, The Serpent.
The former Doctor Who star plays the partner and accomplice of French serial killer in the new drama, but what else do we know?
When does The Serpent start on BBC One?
While the exact air date for the drama hasn't been revealed just yet, we can expect it to make its way to BBC One and Netflix later this year.
The six-part drama is about French serial killer Charles Sobhraj, a conman gained infamy for his successful escapes from high-security prisons in the 1970s.
Charles, who earned the chilling nicknames The Bikini Killer and The Serpent, is currently serving a life sentence in Kathmandu prison, Nepal.
The Serpent is written by Ripper Street's Richard Warlow and Toby Finlay, while it is directed by The Missing's Tom Shankland.
What is The Serpent about?
The show begins with Sobhraj, who is the chief suspect in a series of unsolved deaths of young Travellers in Asia.
Sobhraj's favourite method was to make his victims ill – using anything from diarrhoea-inducing pills to itching powder – before going on to strangle them.
The twisted murderer would then mutilate them with a knife or shoot them before disfiguring the corpses.
Sobhraj is believed to have murdered up to 24 people before he was captured by international authorities.
But he really made his name by becoming Interpol's most wanted man after repeatedly slipping from the grasp of authorities.
Who is in The Serpent cast?
Jenna Coleman stars as Marie-Andrée Leclerc, the partner and accomplice of Sobhraj.
While French actor Tahar Rahim plays the main man Sobhraj.
Billy Howle plays Herman Knippenberg – a junior diplomat based at the Dutch Embassy in Bangkok – who seeks to bring Sobhraj to justice.
Ellie Bamber stars as Knippenberg's wife, Angela.
The cast also features Alice Englert, Mathilde Warnier, Tim McInnerny, Gregoire Isvarine, Sahajak Boonthanakit and Fabien Frankel.
