Who plays Ben in Emmerdale and what else has he starred in?

Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon), a kayak instructor at Hawksford Outdoor Pursuits centre (HOP), is the new face on Emmerdale.

He caught the eye of Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) when he appeared for the first time in Tuesday’s episode (Sepetmber 22), but it turns out the two have met before.

It was revealed in Wednesday’s episode (September 23) that Aaron used to bully him at school. But the two soon repair things, and arranged to go on a date.

But who plays Aaron’s new love interest Ben?

Who is Ben Tucker?

Ben Tucker is the new kayaking instructor, who used to go to school with Aaron Dingle.

Aaron didn’t recognise Ben at first, but then later realised that he used to bully Ben for being gay.

Aaron was horrified as he opened up to Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) about how difficult that period of his life was.

Aaron confessed that he used to take his anger out on Ben.

Aaron apologises to Ben, who accepts. The pair then arranged to go on a date.

Who plays Ben Tucker in Emmerdale?

Ben is played by 26-year-old English actor Simon Lennon.

Lennon was a member of the  National Youth Theater when he was younger, and appeared in theatrical productions of Romeo and Juliet as well as Our Town.

Simon Lennon used to go out with Corrie’s Sair Khan.

He dated the 32-year-old actress for almost two years, after meeting at a charity event at Buckingham Palace – and also appeared on an episode of I’m A Celebrity back in 2018 to support Sair.

However, the relationship ended in September 2019.

What else has Simon Lennon been in?

Simon Lennon is best known for his role in BBC drama Our Girl, playing Brains.

He also appeared in TV series Grantchester for an episode playing Marcus Ruskin.

In 2020, Simon played DC Felton in the short film PACE, which was directed by his Emmerdale co-star Danny Miller.

Emmerdale continues on ITV tonight, September 24, at 7pm. There will be an extra episode at 8pm.
