Yellowstone season three aired on Paramount Network and it left viewers shaken after the finale. The last episode saw John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner), Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) targeted by anonymous assassins. Fans have suggested Willa (Karen Pittman) and Roarke (Josh Holloway) helped orchestrate the attacks.
Did Willa and Roarke set Jamie Dutton up?
Yellowstone fans are keen for season four to arrive on Paramount Network so they can find out who was behind the multiple attacks.
John Dutton was left on the side of the road, having been caught up in a drive-by shooting.
Meanwhile, someone had sent an explosive to Beth’s office and fans have been left wondering whether she will survive.
Kayce was forced to fight off a group of gunmen and they had the upper hand with their numbers.
One of the biggest questions is who organised the attacks, and Willa and Roarke are two of the main suspects.
Fans hope the two characters go through more development in the upcoming season as the show needs multiple villains.
They took to Reddit to discuss the season three finale, with one saying: “My humble opinion on S3 is that Roarke/Willa did it and will have it set up to blame it on Jamie who they’ve seen was being banished from the family.
“With Jamie being blamed for the murders, Roarke could easily get Yellowstone.
“Jamie runs on his own emotions, and does some stupid stuff, but I can’t imagine he’d want Kayce, John or even Beth dead.
“They are his family and the ones he runs back to when his life falls apart. PLUS that was all too well planed for Jamie to be involved.”
Another fan added: “I like how they left us with three potential suspects who could’ve done the hit. My guess is that it’s both Jaimie and Roarke. I feel Rainwater would’ve sent his bodyguard or whatever instead of what we saw.”
Roarke was introduced in the third season of Yellowstone and he is keen to gain ownership of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.
His family owns the Cross Creek Ranch and John is his direct competition, so understandably he would want to eliminate a threat.
Willa Hayes was also introduced in the third season and she is Roarke’s ‘right-hand’ in the series.
Commenting on her character, one fan said: “Willa Hayes is certainly the type of woman that gets what she wants.

“There is no stopping her because she has the talent, skill, and power to know how to get things done.
“She single-handedly ordered the hit the disabled the Dutton family for good. She is the strongest character in the show, and my expectation is that we will be seeing a lot more of her in season 4.”
Fans have suspected Willa and Roarke used Jamie to get to the Duttons as they are aware Jamie is a weak link.
He has never had a good relationship with his family and would be the easiest to manipulate and turn against the Duttons.
Viewers believe Willa and Roarke targeted Beth in particular and may have used Jamie along the way.
However, there are fans who feel Jamie was fully responsible, with one saying: “I don’t think Roarke nor Willa is responsible for the attacks at the end of season 3. I think it was Jamie – it’s never the obvious suspect.”
The series is created by Taylor Sheridan and some viewers have said they do not expect Sheridan to introduce a huge twist.
Another added: “The way the last episode went, was Jamie really made to seem any less obvious then Rourke and Willa?
“I think the episode deliberately gives you a moment for all the prime suspects. For Jamie, it’s the talk with his birth father about killing the king. For Rourke and Willa, it’s the line about treating things like an oil deal in Yemen.”
Fans will have to wait and see whether Jamie had any part to play, or whether it was all down to Roarke and Willa.
