You is the gripping thriller that Netflix subscribers have looked forward to for the past few years. The series, which is loosely based on the book series by Caroline Kepnes, has returned for season three on Friday, October 15. With the latest episodes now ready to watch, fans are already curious about the drama’s future on the streaming service.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from You on Netflix.
Series two ended with Love Quinn (played by Victoria Pedretti) revealing she was pregnant to Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) just as he was about to slit her throat.
She had murdered not only his ex-girlfriend Candace (Ambyr Childers) but neighbour and fellow love interest Delilah (Carmela Zumbado) to try and protect his secrets, according to Love.
Unwilling to leave his unborn child alone with Love, he agrees to marry her and move to the suburban town of Madre Linda.
They may try and fit in with everyone else but the newlyweds only end up bringing trouble with them.

From the synopsis, it seems Joe is already looking for a way to escape from his new life, having already moved on to his next obsession.
The description reads: “Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad, but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness.
“And then there’s his heart.
“Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door?
“Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing. But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks?
“Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape.”
Will there be a season 4 of You?
Netflix has neither renewed or cancelled You for a fourth season just yet.
Series three came out on October 15 so it is still early days for an announcement to be made.
You was renewed for a third season a few weeks after series two came out so subscribers may find out the show’s future next month.
Given You’s international success though, there is a good chance a season four is on the cards.

There was some speculation that series three wouldn’t even happen.
You is based on the book series – You and Hidden Bodies – by author Kepnes which the first two series are based on.
A third novel has not yet been released so the plot of this new series comes from creators at Netflix.
Prior to the series three renewal, series co-creator and executive producer Sera Gamble told Cosmopolitan: “We have an idea for season 3 that is SO exciting that people talk about it in the [writer’s] room every day.
“So my fingers are crossed…I’ll just say, I hope we get the chance to keep making the show.”
There will be not one but two more books by Kepnes on the way, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Despite Netflix going off on their own for series three, the author behind it all revealed she was working on two more novels in the series at the end of 2019.
Could this mean that a potential season four will be developed from the upcoming fourth novel?
You seasons 1-3 are available to watch on Netflix.
