Strictly: Lesley Joseph shares her advice for Les Dennis<\/h3>\n

Lesley Joseph revealed she has given some advice to friend and upcoming Strictly Come Dancing star Les Dennis ahead of his debut on the BBC show.<\/p>\n

After discussing Lesley’s stint on the show back in 2016, Ranvir Singh asked who she was going to be supporting.<\/p>\n

Lesley and Les first became friends when they starred in BBC seires Pilgrimage, where they trekked through Italy.<\/p>\n

Ranvir asked: “You know Les Dennis obviously because you did the show with him, who are you… Are you backing…”<\/p>\n

Finishing her sentence immediately, Lesley exclaimed: “Oh I am backing Les! 100 percent all the way, all the way because he will be such fun.<\/p>\n

“I have been giving him advice and telling him ‘Get fit Les, get fit’ so he has been walking and exercising and doing all things like that!”<\/p>\n

Ravir laughed and added: “Have you? Because it is the stamina!”<\/p>\n

Lesley agreed: “Do you know what, stamina, that is all it’s about, I am doing a musical now and I need stamina for that.<\/p>\n

“People always say if you do a musical you need to live like a nun, so I am a nun on stage and off stage because you have to keep your voice every night.<\/p>\n

“And there is a lot of dancing in it and a lot of moving in it so all the time you have to keep fit.”<\/p>\n

Lesley was partnered with Anton Du Beke who is now a full-time judge on the BBC show, and was the fifth star to be eliminated from the series.<\/p>\n

Following her exit, the Birds of a Feather actress said: “I’ve loved learning a new dance every week.<\/p>\n

“It’s been so lovely. Working with Anton has been lovely. This whole journey has been lovely. It’s come to an end now but that’s fine.”<\/p>\n

Les Dennis was announced as the 15th celebrity to be joining the Strictly team after weeks of speculation.<\/p>\n

Discussing his upcoming journey, he told the BBC: “I\u2019m thrilled to be doing this iconic wonderful show as I approach my 70th birthday!<\/p>\n

“In my career, I\u2019ve always gone for challenges outside my comfort zone and this is the ultimate one! Can\u2019t wait.\u201d<\/p>\n
