August 08’s family and\u00a0former record label 88rising have announced he has died aged 31.<\/p>\n
The singer’s mother Mena took to Instagram to share various pictures of him alongside a heartfelt tribute.<\/p>\n
She wrote: “It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved son, brother, uncle, singer, songwriter, musician and mentor Ray Davon Jacobs, also known as August 08.<\/p>\n
“He will continue to blossom and spread his love through hus music.”<\/p>\n
Def Jam Recordings have also paid tribute to the late performer, who wrote songs for Justin Bieber and DJ Khaled.<\/p>\n
