Achieving bright white laundry is a goal for many, but socks represent the penultimate hurdle in this challenge, second to red wine stains.<\/p>\n
Homeowners who walk around in white socks know just how little time it takes to discolour the soles while ridding socks of the stains is a nightmare.<\/p>\n
Over time, the garments can retain their brown marks and start looking dull. But fortunately, fans of the cleaning guru Mrs Hinch have shared a surprising product that \u201cworks a treat\u201d for restoring socks to their original state.<\/p>\n
The best part is that the product will only set consumers back a mere 98p.<\/p>\n
The tip was shared in a post on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, where one mother shared her desperate bid to find a solution to her consistently dirty white socks.<\/p>\n

The bottoms are so dirty\u201d.<\/p>\n Elbow grease stain remover, which costs less than \u00a31, came highly recommended by one user, who advised: \u201cGive them [really good] rub with Dove soap then spray with elbow grease and wash as normal\u201d.<\/p>\n Another endorsed the tip, writing: \u201cSpray with elbow grease – works a treat\u201d.<\/p>\n One user joined the conversation to offer an alternative solution: \u201cBoil wash, I have a five-year-old who will walk outside in her socks and come home from school covered in mud but her socks come up new in a boil wash.”<\/p>\n In a similar vein, another user said: \u201cI steep them in a bucket with hot water, bleach, and a laundry position. Leave them until there\u2019s enough for a load and wash as normal. They are spotless.”<\/p>\n The vast majority of partakers in the conversation endorsed the use of the famous stain remover Napisan, which was mentioned more than 10 times in the thread.<\/p>\n \u201cSoak in Napisan and then add Napisan to the drum with your usual detergents!
