Strictly Come Dancing 2023 returns to screens tonight, with the 15 couples taking to the floor to perform separately for the first time.

This year’s couples were all introduced in the launch and while they took part in a group dance, none have performed as couples in front of an audience yet.

All will be back tonight making their dancefloor debuts.

Judges Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, and Anton Du Beke will also be back in their judging seats following their own impressive routines last week, and will be ready to give the famous faces their first scores of the series.

Follow along for the latest updates

The judging panel has seen a few changes over the years.

The originals way back in 2004 included Len Goodman, Arlene Phillips, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood.

Just one of these remains today: “villainous” judge Craig.

He will be on the judging panel along with recent judges Motsi Mabuse, former professional Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas.

Of course, nobody knows at this point who the first couple to exit the show might be.

According to the latest odds from Betway though, Krishnan Guru-Murthy currently stands at the least favourite, with odds of 150/1 for winning the series.

Jody Cundy isn’t far ahead with odds of 100/1 and both Les Dennis and Nikita Kanda holding odds of 50/1.

However, the competition is anyone’s game and things can change very quickly.

Although the first live show is tonight, no couple will be eliminated this week.

While each of them will be scored by the judges, they will be safe for another week of dances.

Instead, the first elimination is going to take place on Sunday, October 1.

Nobody wants to be the first out, so make sure you support your favourite couple.

Have you been a lifelong fan of the show?

If you know which couple dressed up as Minions for Movie week and the name of the BBC Radio 1 presenter who had the shortest time on the show, then you’re in for a treat.

From previous winners to movie week madness, prove that you’re the ultimate Strictly Come Dancing fan by taking part in our quiz.

Plenty of viewers will already have a favourite in mind.

Share yours in our Strictly Come Dancing poll and see how many others agree with you!

From soap stars to athletes, the array of famous faces will all have their own following, but will their dance moves live up to expectations?

Last year, cameraman and presenter Hamza Yassin walked away the winner alongside Jowita Przystał.

Who do you think will lift the Glitterball this year?

Have your say here.

It is still early days and the couples haven’t officially performed yet, but that doesn’t mean people haven’t been placing their bets on this year’s winner already.

From Bobby Brazier to Layton Williams, a few names have come up for in year’s favourites list.

In new odds from BettingSites, Layton Williams is the top estimate for the first to achieve a perfect score of 40, with odds of 7/4.

Not far behind is Nigel Harman with odds standing at 5/1.

Angela Scanlon and Bobby Brazier are joint third at 8/1.

The 15 new couples are making their dancefloor
