A DJ who quizzed Tupac Shakur\u2019s killer years before he was charged revealed the interview technique that he felt caught him out.<\/p>\n
DJ Vlad \u2013 real name Vladimir Lyubovny \u2013 explained what happened during his chat with Duane \u2018Keffe D\u2019 Davis, who has since been charged with one count of open murder.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The American interviewer appeared on Piers Morgan\u2019s Talk TV show Uncensored and shared his experience with the broadcaster.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He revealed that he used Keefe D\u2019s self-published 2019 memoir Compton Street Legend about the drive-by shooting as a \u2018blueprint\u2019 when he felt the witness was dodging his questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The journalist said that he would reference the account written by Keefe D in order to make sure the interviewee was offering an accurate account of the incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n
During the chat on Monday night, DJ Vlad also shared why he ignored the Las Vegas police\u2019s emails requesting raw footage to be handed over initially.<\/p>\n

He explained that it was against his morals to cooperate with law enforcement in any cases that were working against someone they had brought on to their show.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Shakur was 25 when he was gunned down in a drive-by shooting near the Las Vegas Strip on the night of September 7 1996.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A documentary, called Last Man Standing: Suge Knight And The Murders Of Biggie & Tupac, explored the deaths of both rappers, and the life of Death Row Records founder Marion Suge Knight, who was driving the BMW when Shakur died.<\/p>\n
Its director Nick Broomfield told the PA news agency: \u2018It\u2019s weird the police took so long as Keffe D admitted it several years ago.<\/p>\n
\u2018He admitted he was in the murder car and gave an interview going into the shooting of Tupac in great detail.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
In the aftermath of his supposed confession, Davis \u2013 one of the last living witnesses to the drive-by shooting \u2013 was arrested on a walk near his home last Friday in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson.\u00a0<\/p>\n
