JJ and Dani already share a child, Lydia Garcia (middle right)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Now they count each other as best friends and go for drinks, dinner and get their nails done together.<\/p>\n<p>Summer fell pregnant with her baby boy, Sage, now one month old, in January 2023 and said Dani was there for her throughout the pregnancy &#8211; rubbing her shoulders and answering her questions.<\/p>\n<p>The whole blended family were there when Sage was born on September 13, 2023, weighing 7lbs 15oz and Dani is now on hand to help Summer breastfeed, change diapers, and cook dinner.<\/p>\n<p>Summer, a personal trainer said: &#8216;In the beginning it was really bad between us.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Now she&#8217;s one of my best friends.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;She&#8217;s had a baby with JJ &#8211; she knows what it&#8217;s like to carry his child as well.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;She was giving me tips, answering my questions. She&#8217;d rub my shoulders.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The minute I went into labor her, and Lydia came to the hospital. It was beautiful.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884915-12661415-Dani_travelled_to_the_hospital_as_soon_as_Lydia_went_in_to_labou-a-62_1698055119601.jpg\" height=\"852\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Dani travelled to the hospital as soon as Lydia went in to labor to help her throughout the birth. Dani is pictured above with the new baby, Sage Garcia\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884937-12661415-image-m-46_1698054227672.jpg\" height=\"895\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>At first, Dani resented Summer and blamed her for her failed relationship with JJ, which was on and off for ten years\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884905-12661415-image-m-47_1698054236612.jpg\" height=\"916\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>When JJ proposed to Summer, she convinced Dani to go for a drink and the pair hit it off &#8211; realizing they had lots in common and a shared love for Lydia. Now, the blended family often spend time together\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Now Dani helps me breastfeed and changes diapers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;She&#8217;s basically another parent for Sage as well.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Dani said: &#8216;I helped her with labor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I was her doula. I wanted to be there to help with contractions.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Summer met JJ in the gym in May 2018 and struggled to get along with Dani at first.<\/p>\n<p>She said: &#8216;Her and JJ had been broken up for a couple of months, so it was really fresh.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884945-12661415-image-m-48_1698054262693.jpg\" height=\"488\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>JJ popped the question to Summer on Thanksgiving 2020 and Lydia knew she wanted to keep trying to forge a relationship with Dani for Lydia&#8217;s sake\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884941-12661415-image-m-49_1698054277546.jpg\" height=\"741\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Now the pair count each other as best friends and go for drinks, dinner and get their nails done together<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;They&#8217;d been on and off for years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;In her eyes for a while I was the reason they broke up.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Dani said: &#8216;It was hard for me to have someone enter into the picture.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I wanted to reject her love. There was resentment.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>JJ popped the question to Summer on Thanksgiving 2020 and Lydia knew she wanted to keep trying to forge a relationship with Dani &#8211; for Lydia&#8217;s sake.<\/p>\n<p>She said: &#8216;By the time we got engaged &#8211; I said &#8216;we&#8217;re going to have to talk if you like it or not&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884939-12661415-image-m-50_1698054287784.jpg\" height=\"572\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>While Dani took a day to process the news that Summer and JJ were having a baby together- she cared for Summer throughout the pregnancy\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884919-12661415-image-m-51_1698054297442.jpg\" height=\"639\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The pair both have lots in common, including an avid interest in spirituality and wellness trends\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884907-12661415-image-m-52_1698054313566.jpg\" height=\"470\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The whole blended family were there when Sage was born on September 13, 2023, weighing 7lbs 15oz<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Lydia deserves to have people who communicate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We met up for a drink and realized we had lots in common.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Our friendship took off.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We have similar views on spirituality and wellness. Our personalities meshed really well.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The pals started meeting up and now consider each other best friends.<\/p>\n<p>Summer said: &#8216;We go for drinks, dinner, and get our nails done.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Dani was able to repair her friendship with JJ and they are all able to hang out &#8211; spending holidays together and going on trips to amusement parks as a four.<\/p>\n<p>This year Dani is joining Summer&#8217;s family for Thanksgiving in Virginia, and they will all be spending Christmas together.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884909-12661415-image-m-53_1698054323963.jpg\" height=\"950\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Summer and Dani realized that they have plenty in common after all- including their love for Lydia\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884943-12661415-image-m-54_1698054335273.jpg\" height=\"454\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The blended family often spend time together. For Christmas this year, the group are travelling to Virginia to spend time with Summer&#8217;s parents\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Summer said: &#8216;We all do holidays together.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;All of us do family vacations to amusement parks like Universal Studios.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Summer and JJ tied the knot in June 2022 and Summer found out she was expecting in January 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Dani said: &#8216;I didn&#8217;t react great.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It took a day or so to be OK with it.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Summer and JJ decided to move from Boston to Florida in August 2023 &#8211; and Dani was on hand to help throughout the pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>Summer said: &#8216;She&#8217;s helped with anything and everything we needed.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884933-12661415-image-m-55_1698054344884.jpg\" height=\"852\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The blended family prioritize eight-year-old Lydia, and spend time together on family days out in Florida\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884921-12661415-image-m-56_1698054368351.jpg\" height=\"859\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Although they have a close relationship &#8211; Summer draws the line at talking to Dani about arguments with JJ unless they impact their children<\/p>\n<p>Summer said the birth was &#8216;beautiful&#8217; and she had Dani there during the labor and straight after the birth.<\/p>\n<p>She had her mother, JJ and Lydia in the room when Sage was born &#8211; and Lydia cut the umbilical cord.<\/p>\n<p>She said: &#8216;I felt so much love.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I wanted him to know the same love that Lydia does &#8211; from every angle.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Dani said: &#8216;It was a really amazing moment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He&#8217;s my bonus son.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884935-12661415-image-m-57_1698054400459.jpg\" height=\"791\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Summer wanted her son Sage to feel love from every angle just as Lydia does from herself and Dani\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884923-12661415-image-m-58_1698054428498.jpg\" height=\"841\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Summer believes that it is her job to ensure the family are\u00a0 &#8216;blended and beautiful&#8217; and open with one another\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Although they have a close relationship &#8211; Summer draws the line at talking to Dani about arguments with JJ unless they impact their children.<\/p>\n<p>They have &#8216;team meetings&#8217; to discuss everything.<\/p>\n<p>Summer said: &#8216;We talk all the time as a whole group.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We&#8217;re open with each other.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Summer hopes Dani can meet someone who will fit into their &#8216;dynamic&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Summer said: &#8216;As a step-parent I made a choice to enter a broken family.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It&#8217;s my job to make it blended and beautiful.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/23\/10\/76884913-12661415-image-m-60_1698054468143.jpg\" height=\"1107\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Summer, Dani, and JJ have &#8216;team meetings&#8217; to discuss family matters.
