Doctor Who has been missing from our screens for the past year but the Time Lord will soon be taking over to celebrate its six-decade history.<\/p>\n

There have been plenty of teasers to get fans excited for what\u2019s to come, especially with the knowledge that David Tennant will be reprising the iconic role as the Fourteenth Doctor.<\/p>\n

Now finally, the BBC has revealed exactly when the sci-fi drama will be returning with a few more snippets given of what\u2019s to come.<\/p>\n

When are the release dates for the Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials?\u00a0<\/h2>\n

The Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials are going to air on Saturday, November 25, Saturday, December 2, and Saturday, December 9.<\/p>\n

Episode one, which airs on November 25, will be called The Star Beast while episodes two and three are Wild Blue Yonder and The Giggle, respectively.<\/p>\n

With the release dates now revealed, it is known that The Star Beast will air just two days after the show\u2019s official anniversary on Thursday, November 23.<\/p>\n

The specials are also going to see the return of actress and comedian Catherine Tate as Donna Noble, alongside her daughter Rose (Yasmin Finney).<\/p>\n

The last time fans saw Donna, she was warned that if she was to remember the Doctor, she would die so this is bound to be explained in the upcoming instalments.<\/p>\n

After each episode airs, fans can also switch to BBC Three or BBC iPlayer to watch the access all areas show that gives an insight into creating Doctor Who.<\/p>\n

In one of the specials, the Time Lord and Donna are going to come up against The Toymaker, a villain who last appeared in the show back in 1966.<\/p>\n

He will be portrayed by none other than How I Met Your Mother and Broadway star Neil Patrick Harris.<\/p>\n

The anniversary episodes are also going to be the start of Russell T Davies\u2019 return to Doctor Who after showrunner Chris Chibnall left alongside Jodie Whittaker.<\/p>\n

Talking in particular about the second instalment, Tennant said it is \u201cunlike any Doctor Who episode ever\u201d, with \u201cRussell [T Davies] off the leash\u201d for the specials.<\/p>\n
