Last week, on November 10, Los Angeles-based Born X Raised released an archival collection that featured a mix of revived and remixed styles, along with a few brand-new styles.<\/p>\n
Notable items included the return of the “8-Ball Party Wizard” tee with a coordinating New Era fitted cap, signature logo hoodies and crewneck, as well as a shirt commemorating founder Alex “2Tone” Erdmann’s Shih Tzu Omar. In addition to these items, the drop also included a now sold-out Dr. Martens collaboration.<\/p>\n
The collab utilized the Dr. Martens Original 1461 3-eye shoe as the canvas for its design. Retooled by Born X Raised, the shoe was constructed using Vintage Smooth black leather with a contrasting biscuit-colored base and laser-etched spiderwebs, crosses and BXR logo details — all of which sit on top of a smoke DMS outsole with signature yellow stitching.<\/p>\n
To make the collaboration all the more significant, the campaign was shot by 2Tone and featured friends of the brand rapper Buddy, jewelry designer Georgina Trevino and artist Devin Reynolds.<\/p>\n
