Louis Vuitton has been slammed for its latest luxury range for babies, which includes a £1,140 rattle and a £875 teddy bear.

The French fashion house has released its first baby collection in time for Christmas, and its fittingly geared towards the colder months.

The brand has injected luxury to typical baby items – and a couple of zeros to the price tag. Babies can shake a Louis Vuitton silver rattle for £1,140, with the classic monogram stamp emblazoned across the bottom.

If parents like the sound of the collection, they best be quick since though, as the rattle appears to be sold out online.

Despite the apparent popularity of the brand’s latest release, members of the public have taken to social media to slam the collection and its jaw-dropping price-tags.

Louis Vuitton have released their luxury range for babies, which includes ‘Louis’ the teddy bear for £875 (pictured)

Elsewhere, the brand has taken on the classic teddy bear – and quite literally, added their own stamp.

The Louis Vuitton monogram is embroidered into the 100 percent cotton material of ‘Louis’ the bear.

Customers can get their hands on the bear, which features leather pads on its ‘paws’, for £875.

At the top of the range is a £61,000 baby wardrobe, which is modelled off a classic Louis Vuitton brown leather suitcase.

The item, which also featured on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Christmas gift guide for children, turns into a self-standing wardrobe when opened, fit with small drawers, compartments, and a mirror.

According to the Louis Vuitton, the wardrobe is a reinterpretation of one of their most favoured products: ‘The Wardrobe’, which was first created in 1875.

Despite the jaw-dropping price tag, the trunk is said to last a lifetime as owners can repurpose the item.

The brand – which is famed for its leather luggage range – has also released a mini suitcase for babies.

At £1890, the suitcase is, yet again, covered in Louis Vuitton logos, along with a cotton exterior and leather trim.

In addition to clothing items, the range includes a luxury pillow and blanket for £1610 collectively and porcelain utensil set for £950

At the top of the range in terms of price is a baby wardrobe, which costs a jaw-dropping £61,000
