<\/p>\nA MAJOR high street discounter has launched its first ever Black Friday sale. <\/p>\n
Poundland is offering bargain prices on big name brands for the annual sales event.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It's the first time the bargain retailer has ever hosted sales for Black Friday. <\/p>\n
Usually, the chain is one of just a few which decide not to take part. <\/p>\n
These include other discounters like Primark, B&M, TK Maxx and Home Bargains. <\/p>\n
This is usually because they offer low prices all year round.<\/p>\n
The annual sale event sees massive price reductions from dozens of high street and online retailers including Amazon, H&M, John Lewis <\/p>\n This year, Poundland is also slashing prices throughout this week ahead of the main event. <\/p>\n On Wednesday, across 550 Poundland stores, there will be a blanket 20% reduction on all its new baby and kidswear which recently launched.<\/p>\n Plus, there are offers listed on the website already.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Shoppers can find them on Poundland\u2019s newly launched digital website at Poundland.co.uk.<\/p>\n Fresh offers will be dropping every day from today through to Friday.<\/p>\n These already include well-known brands Elizabeth Arden, Clarins, Lanc\u00f4me, Sanctuary Spa, Illamasqua make-up ranges and haircare range Olaplex.<\/p>\n Some of the deals have already dropped this morning<\/span>.<\/p>\n For example, you can pick up an Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference cream for just \u00a313 – instead of \u00a345. <\/p>\n Other bargains include Essie nail varnishes reduced by 71% to \u00a33.50 from \u00a315. <\/p>\n You can also find Clarins' foot cream reduced from \u00a327 to just \u00a315. <\/p>\n One of the biggest bargains we found was a Maybelline Fit Me powder reduced from \u00a39.99 to \u00a32 – a whopping 80% off.<\/p>\n Not only that but there will also be a range of designer fragrances for both men and women including\u00a0Burberry, Calvin Klein, Jimmy Choo, Britney Spears and Issey Miyake, just in time for Christmas.<\/p>\n The Sun has contacted Poundland for the full list of discounts on these perfumes and will update this story when we hear back.<\/p>\n Poundland\u2019s commercial director Tim Bettley said: \u201cWhether online or offline, we\u2019re all-in with\u00a0Black Friday this year for the very first time.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cOur event will allow our in-store shoppers to see for themselves the amazing new kids and babywear we now offer in the majority of our stores.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cOnline, we\u2019ve got over 100 Black Friday deals throughout the week so customers can save even\u00a0 more.\u201d<\/p>\n Poundland recently announced the transition to new clothing ranges by parent company Pepco. <\/p>\n The chain now offers various clothing ranges at 560 stores across the UK and Ireland. <\/p>\n This includes all 56 former Wilko locations which have now re-opened as Poundlands.<\/p>\n Poundland.co.uk launched back in September offering customers the choice to buy their favourite items online for the first time.\u00a0<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Black Friday discounts have come early at further major UK retailers as well.<\/p>\n The annual sale event is now a major fixture on the shopping calendar around the world.<\/p>\n While the official date of Black Friday is November 24 this year many do tend to kick off the sales early.<\/p>\n Amazon has officially kicked off its\u00a0huge Black Friday sale, enticing shoppers with a week-long flood of offers, including this\u00a0incredible deal on the Fire TV for Prime members.<\/p>\n Online marketplace eBay is giving eager bargain-hunters\u00a040% off Dyson products, including on the popular\u00a0Dyson Airwrap.<\/p>\n While trendy fitness brand Gymshark has also joined the discounting, offering shoppers a whopping\u00a070% off everything\u00a0(yes, you read that correctly).<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/economic-recession-business-posting-close-833922792.jpg\")
