Princess Mary’s nephew Count Nikolai certainly brought his princely power to the launch of the Melbourne Cup in Sydney on Tuesday.
The handsome Burberry model, 24, looked every inch the dashing European royal at festivities at Mimi’s in Sydney’s Coogee.
Nikolai, who was guest of honour at the event, opted for a glittering pinstripe blazer and matching pants for the occasion, with him finishing the look with black boots.
The university student smouldered as he gazed at photographers while standing by the media wall at the restaurant.
Joining Nikolai on the red carpet was Phoebe Burgess who turned heads wearing a floral strapless top and matching pants.

Count Nikolai will attend the Melbourne Cup Carnival on Penfold’s Victoria Derby Day at Flemington as a VIP guest.
He recently told The Daily Telegraph about the tips his Australian-born aunt, Crown Princess Mary, gave him before his semester Down Under.

‘She gave me a long list, an itinerary of what to do and what not to do, I can’t remember it now but I have it at home,’ Nikolai said.
The model went on to say it was ‘survival’ stuff.
‘Basic ”survival skills”, I would say clap your boots before putting them on, stuff like that, flush the toilet before you use it. I do not (want a snake or spider),’ he added.
Nikolai is Down Under with his girlfriend, Benedikte Thoustrup.
The pair will stay in the Harbour City from August to November.
Nikolai, whose father is Prince Joachim of Denmark, is seventh in line to the Danish throne.
