Katie Price’s mum calls her boob job ‘ridiculous’
Amy Price, the mum of model Katie Price, had admitted her “disappointment” over the edits to her new book, The Last Word.
Speaking to press including Express.co.uk, the 71-year-old addressed her ailing health and changes that were made to her writing.
“When I first started writing it, I put everything in,” she started. “All my thoughts, all my emotions and things that I’ve never admitted to people before.
“But a lot of it was edited… I was quite disappointed in that.
“I argued with Harper Collins to keep everything in but I had to remove some parts for legal reasons, as they were protecting me.”
Amy was diagnosed with the incurable lung condition pulmonary fibrosis in 2017.
She added: “I think what it is, is when you know you’re close to dying, your mindset changes a bit. And then you start thinking about family.
“It’s never been recorded, because I’ve never talked about it.
“That’s what started it [the book]. But it was quite therapeutic in a way as well.”
Amy also revealed that her husband Paul has been “her rock” as she battles her terminal illness.
The book offers a deeply personal insight into her daughter’s life and how the impact of the limelight has affected her and those around her.
Amy continued: “This book is my opportunity to tell the whole truth about my life, my family, and my eldest daughter Kate.
“Battling terminal illness and fast-approaching death, I wanted to tell the truth about me and my family.
“The Last Word has given me a chance to set the record straight once and for all, and to give readers a true insight into what it is like to support a family thrust into the limelight.”
Amy is donating all royalties and proceeds from The Last Word to charities Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital, and St Barnabas House Hospice, Worthing.
