Frank Ocean fans are no stranger to waiting for their favorite artist to put out new music. The last full-length album fans got from the reclusive singer was his 2016 sophomore album Blonde in 2016.
In the time since, Ocean has released a few more singles, returning in 2019 with “DHL” and “In My Room.” The songs appeared to be the first tracks off of a new album, though the project was seemingly scrapped.
The artist has been teasing new music here and there, however, and has now returned to share a one-minute-long snippet of a new single, which has been screen-recorded and circulated on social media.
Ocean took to Instagram stories to post the cut of the reverb-heavy song without any additional context.
As expected, fans are in a frenzy, hoping that this means a full-length album is in the works, now seven years since Ocean has put out a project.
In other music news, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz teased the new track “Long Story Short” off of the Welcome 2 ColleGrove album.
