Game of Thrones may have ended in 2019 but the future of Westeros still looms in a new game Zynga. The California-based game developer is working on an RPG titled Game of Thrones: Legends, slated for release next year.
Players will assume the role of a Westeros leader, challenged to build their skills, develop tactics and use strategies to take on some of the foes from the show’s universe.
Making an appearance in the game are both fan-favorite characters from Game of Thrones and its spin-off series, House of the Dragon. Jon Snow, Rhaenyra Targaryen and Sansa and Arya Stark are among those who will join players in their team of fighters. Puzzles will play a key role in gameplay as part of the missions players must complete to work through the storyline.
“We’re excited to create an RPG puzzle experience that amplifies the mechanics of skilled play and adds in champion management with the magnificent setting, characters and lore of the Game of Thrones universe from both series,” Zynga Executive Vice President Mobile Games Yaron Leyvand said.
“Game of Thrones: Legends will bring your favorite Westeros characters, events and locations to life to create an immersive strategy experience players and fans around the world can enjoy.”
