Hugh Jackman 'to release bombshell memoir' after split from wife

Hugh Jackman is allegedly already penning a new tell-all memoir following his split from wife Deborra Lee Furness.

The Wolverine actor, 54, is said to be in the early stages of penning an autobiography – in which he will reportedly reveal ‘bombshells’ about his private life, including his divorce.

Hugh has been married to wife Deborra-Lee Furness, 67, for 27 years. They first met in 1995 and quickly fell in love, getting engaged only three months into their whirlwind romance.

They married the following April in Australia and later adopted their children Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.

An insider revealed: ‘Hugh’s choosing to [write this book] now because he’s finally [being] honest with himself [and] the divorce.’

They also told Us Weekly that the actor will be ‘opening up about his life like never before,’ and that the process of writing the memoir has been ‘very healing for him’ so far.

Following their split, Hugh and Deborra-Lee shared a joint statement to People, which said: ‘We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.

‘Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.

‘We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.’

Fans were devastated to hear news of their split – especially after Hugh’s loving message to his wife, posted on Instagram last April to mark their anniversary.

In the caption, he wrote: ‘I love you Deb. Today is our 27th wedding anniversary. 27 years! I love you so much.’

He went on: ‘Together we have created a beautiful family. And life. Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humour, cheekiness, courage, and loyalty is an incredible gift to me. I love you with all my heart.’

In 2018, on the Sunday Today Show, Hugh recalled how quickly he fell for Deborra-Lee, saying: ‘I knew two weeks in to meeting Deb that we were going to be together for the rest of our lives.

‘In the end, what do you want from your life partner? You want to be fully seen and you want to be able to fully see them for exactly who (they) really are. And Deb and I had that from the beginning.’
