British designer Margaret Howell is renowned internationally, building her career over five decades. The 77-year-old creative is teaming up with London-based design firm ISOKON to reissue Marcel Lajos Breuer’s contemporary furniture.
The collaborative reprints will be sold at Margaret Howell locations in November, traversing through design history with nesting tables and bookstands. Hungarian-German architect Marcel Lajos Breuer conceived the items in 1936 following his graduation from Bauhaus University. The emblematic designer passed away in 1981, honoring his long-lasting legacy by remastering historical items.
The nesting tables are handcrafted from birch plywood in East London, featuring angular legs, a curved top, and collaborative branding in two sizes. The bookstand includes opposite-facing compartments with rectangular shelving for a unique look.
Take a closer look at the furniture collection in the gallery above. The items are on sale at Margaret Howell’s Tianjin store and will arrive at additional locations from November 6.
