Soho House is officially heading down under. Heading to Sydney as its debut location in Australia, the House is expected to be located on 256 Crown Street between Darlinghurst and Surry Hills. The social hub is situated just moment’s away from Sydney’s ever-rowing creative and cultural intersection at Oxford Street.
The Sydney location will take over the redevelopment of an existing building and is slated to offer various indoor and outdoor spaces for members to dine, drink and socialize. The space is expected to spread out across five floors and the announcement comes just as Soho House had announced that it would take over The Old Clare Hotel for a a week long residency at SXSW starting on October 15. Introducing the people of Australia to Soho House, the event will occupy the ground-floor bar, main restaurant and rooftop pool for Soho House and Cities Without Houses members.
The news of the expansion to Australia also comes a year after it announced a new Mexico City location, marking its first expansion into Latin America. Currently, Soho House operates around the world with 42 physical Houses with upcoming openings in Portland and Sao Paulo. Take a look at the Sydney announcement below.
